I just noticed that we have cracked double digits on the "followers of JAFO" list.

(And don't even ask who Number 1 is. It won't get you anywhere. Except maybe chased by the big white bubbly ball thing we keep out in the lagoon.)

Is it just me or does the "training" that this young girl went through appear to be extreme psychological child abuse to anyone else out there? To say nothing of the actual filming of the movie itself.

I know it's all just fun and games, but the trivialization of violence in this society seems to be hitting the wall and busting right through it with this flick.

I'm going to go sit in my rocking chair and stew for a few minutes. Then I guess it will be time for my daily dose of bran. Dag nabbit!

It's hard to believe but Amazon is currently discounting the Blu-Ray edition of Kubrick's 2001 to $7.99. (Some of his other titles are pretty well discounted also, but none that cheap.) Pick up a few other titles and the shipping is free.
